Dorothy E. Hackmann, 95, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Frene Valley of Hermann Stonebridge.

Dorothy was born in Morrison, Missouri on March 18, 1922, a daughter of the late Herman & Alice (Cramer) Ocheskey.

She was the widow of Vernon J. Hackmann.   They were united in marriage  on October 23, 1946, in  Morrison, Missouri. Vernon preceded her in death on February 20, 2003.

Dorothy was a member of St. George Church, of Hermann.  She worked for over 40 years at Florsheim Shoe Company until her retirement. 

Dorothy is survived by a son, Dave Hackmann & wife Cindy, of Washington, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Hackmann, of Hermann, a sister Colleen Byrd, of Morrison, Missouri, by three grandchildren, Stacey Vedder & husband Kent, of Washington, Missouri; Michael Hackmann & wife Jennifer, of Columbia, Missouri; and Cara McCully & husband Jake, of Springfield, Missouri,  by two great grandsons, Brayden & Ian Desmond and by two sisters-in-law, Mariland Hackmann, of Linn, Missouri; and Marie Hackmann, of Chamois, Missouri, and by many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, by a son Darryl Hackmann, by three brothers Virgil, Howard, & Roland Ocheskey and by two sisters, Maybelle Scheidegger & Shirley Epple.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 23rd from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 24th at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Church, Hermann, with Rev. Msgr. Gregory Higley officiating. 

Burial will be at St. George Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to St. George School or St. George Church.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
