Dolores Mae Schannuth, 81, of Hermann, MO, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Hermann Area District Hospital.

Dolores was born in Chamois, Missouri on December 14, 1934, the daughter of the late Hadley & Ella (Stocksick) Rhodes.

She was the widow of Alvin J. Schannuth.  They were married on September 4, 1954, at St. John's Church, Chamois, Missouri.  Alvin preceded her in death on January 11, 2008.

Dolores was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann.  She worked for Blumer's Furniture Store and Funeral Home for approximately 20 years.  She then became a teachers aide for the Gasconade County R-1 School district, where she worked until her retirement.  Dolores cherished her family.  Her children and grandchildren were very important to her and she loved spending time with them. 

Dolores is survived by two sons, Craig Schannuth & wife Kate and Scott Schannuth & wife Paula both of Hermann, by her six grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Tess, Gabriela, Alex and Andrew Schannuth all of Hermann. 
 
Visitation will be Thursday, January 28th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ, with Pastor Fred Brandenburg officiating. Burial will be at Loutre Island Cemetery,  McKittrick, Missouri. 

Memorials may be given to St. Paul U.C.C. or St. George School.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
