Diane C. Hug, 63, of Rhineland, Missouri, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 at her home. 

Diane was born in Big Spring, Texas on February 7, 1953, a daughter of Berthold & Dolores (Malon) Klein.

She was the wife of Leonard R. Hug.   They were married on August 5, 1978,  at Union, Missouri. 

Diane is survived by her husband Leonard, her mother Dolores Klein, Rhineland, MO;  by two sons, Larry Hug, of Rhineland, Missouri, and Greg Hug, of Oakland, California;  a daughter, Jessica Hug, of Osawatomie, Kansas, by two granddaughters, Trinity & Adriana, two brothers, Gary Klein & wife Debbie, of Glen Carbon, Illinois; and Kevin Klein & wife Cassie, of Bethalto, Illinois;  by two sisters-in-law Sue Wingfield  of Glen Carbon, Illinois and Danette Hug of Augusta, Mo; by many nieces, nephews and great nieces & nephews.

Diane was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ, Berger, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. 

She worked as a payroll clerk for Ameren U.E. at both the Labadie and Callaway Plants for over 30 years.  In her free time she enjoyed Quilting, being in the outdoors, deer hunting, fishing, and gardening  and she loved her flowers. Diane was  always more concerned about  making sure that other people were helped or cared for before she was. She was a caretaker for her mother, father-in-law and her husband along with  neighbors or anyone who needed a helping hand in the community.

Visitation will be Friday, May 20th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at  2:00 p.m. from the Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann.

Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery, Berger, Missouri.  Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
