Dennis  Robert  Vette, 60, of Owensville, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 16, 2015.

Mr. Vette was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 6, 1954, the son of the late Roy Robert and Rose Mae (Unland) Vette.

He was the husband of Jana (Jorden) Vette.  They were married April 19, 1980 at Holy Cross Church, St. Louis, Missouri.  Jana survives at their home.

Dennis is also survived by his four children, two sons Jason Vette of Hermann and Scott Vette of Owensville, and two daughters Randi Vette of Hermann and Nicole Vette of Owensville, by a brother Wayne Vette & wife Gerri of Florida, three sisters Rose Ann Fergusen & husband John of Licking, Missouri, JoAnn Nahlik of Ballwin, Missouri and Patty Page & husband Jim of Hermann, by a brother-in-law Tom Meitz of House Springs, Missouri, and by his six grandchildren, Landon, Malerie, Braden, Brody, Dylon and Conner.  He is preceded in death by his parents and by a sister Kathy Meitz.

Dennis loved sports and was a baseball and softball player.  He was a St. Louis Blues and Cardinal fan.  His biggest enjoyment was barbecuing and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Visitation will be Thursday 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m.
