Charles August Strubberg, 84, of Hermann, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Cedarcrest Manor, Washington, Missouri.
Mr. Strubberg was born in Washington, Missouri on January 11, 1931, the son of the late August Strubberg and Beulah (Sanders) Becker.
He was the widower of Rita (Hartke) Strubberg. They were married July 7, 1981 at Union, Missouri.
Charles proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Hummingbird Club. He was an avid fisherman and he loved his dogs, Princess who passed away and his new dog Copper.
When Charles was younger before going into the Army he worked as a baker for Lance Brothers Bakery in St. Louis, which later became General Mills. After being discharged from the military he began working at Zero Manufacturing in Washington, which later became Clemco.
Charles is survived by a brother Tom Strubberg of Beaufort and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and by a sister Anna Mae Howard.
Visitation will be Thursday 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held at Assumption Church, New Haven, Missouri at 10:00 a.m on Friday, April 10th, with Father John Deken officiating.
Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery, with full military honors.
