Billie J. Eggenberg, 79, of St. Louis, MO, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at his home.

Billie was born in Gasconade, Missouri on August 10, 1937, a son of the late David & Adelle (Lampkin)Eggenberg.

Billie proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He was self employed in the construction business and was a perfectionist at his work.  He could build or make anything.

Billie is survived by his life partner of many years, JoAnne Taylor, of the home; a daughter, Jane Cavolli, of Miami, Florida; by three sisters, Doris Sanders & husband Edmond, of Kyle, Texas; Carol Gabel & husband James, of Union, Missouri; and Sandra Morris, of Pacific, Missouri; by a step daughter, Angel Stewart & husband Perry, of Williamsburg, Missouri; two step sons, Robert Zerban & wife Angie, of St. Louis, Missouri; and Paul Zerban & wife Julie, of St. Louis, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Sara Jane, Kelly & Corey, by great grandchildren, by step-grandchildren, Toni Cafer, Madison Zerban, and Necka & Jason Stewart; and by two step-great grandchildren, Gunnar & Tommie Cafer.

Billie was a great friend to many.  If he became your friend, you were a friend for life.    He loved all sports, to play and watch.  He received a letter in baseball when he played at Hermann High School.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from Noon to 2:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. James Gabel officiating.

Burial will be at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann.  Memorials may be given to Feed the Children.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
