Anna Mae Stiers, 88, of Hermann, MO, passed away into eternal rest on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Frene Valley of Hermann Stonebridge, Missouri. 

Anna Mae was born in Americus, Missouri on September 5, 1928, the youngest daughter of the late John & Mayme (McCarty) Korman.

She was united in marriage to Norman "Peanuts" Stiers on January 31, 1948.  Four children were born to their marriage, Janet, Larry, Kathy and Julaine.  Peanuts and Anna Mae lived and farmed in the Rhineland community until 1989.  Peanuts preceded her in death on February 23, 1994.

Anna Mae attended the Americus Grade Schools and Hermann High School.  After high school she worked at International Shoe Company, then raised her family and helped her husband on the farm.  She later went back to work for Florsheim Shoe Company until she retired in 1979.

Anna Mae's hobbies included gardening  and making quilts for all her family.  She loved to bake and was a wonderful cook.  She treasured her time with her family and friends and cherished all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Anna Mae is survived by her four children, Janet Ellis & husband Vernon, of Hermann, Missouri;  Larry Stiers & wife Cathy Hall, of St. Louis, Missouri; Kathy Heberle & husband Ronald, of Hermann, Missouri; and Julaine Stiers, M.D., & husband Paul Land, of Columbia, Missouri; by an extra special sister, Marvine Daller, of Hermann, Missouri; by seven grandchildren, Cody Ellis & wife Michelle; Derek Ellis & wife Andrea; Timothy Stiers & wife Elisa; Ryan Stiers & wife Kellee; Matthew Heberle & wife Heather; Wyatt Heberle & wife Kelly; and Jacob Land, by two step-grandchildren, Carmen Mahlandt & husband Jason & Lisa Tornabene & husband Pete, by eight great-grandchildren, Madison & Logan Ellis, Brady & Kambree Ellis, April & Alexis Stiers and Ethan & Henry Heberle, by five step great-grandchildren, Max & Blake Mahlandt, and Tyler, Jayden, & Anthony Tornabene, by a brother-in-law, Virgil "Punkin" Stiers, of Rhineland, Missouri, and by many nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, by an infant sister, by two brothers Norbert & Barney Korman and by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 13th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be at Hermann Cemetery.
